We are all Oury Jalloh

This video was made on January 7, 2007, for the 3rd anniversary of the murder of Oury Jalloh. Oury Jalloh was detained by the police three years earlier on the morning of January 7. He was then violently taken to the local police station in Dessau, where he was chained at his hands and feet to a fireproof mattress. Four hours later a fire broke out which took Oury Jalloh's life. The official thesis claims that Oury Jalloh somehow managed to get ahold of a lighter and, while chained at his hands and feet to a fireproof mattress, burn himself to death. Friends and activists have gathered together as the Initiative in Memory of Oury Jalloh. The struggle for truth, justice and reparations has been long and filled with repressions and frustrations, tears of pain and the joy brought out by the courage to stand up and resist. Although this video is only in German, the message is very clear no matter what language you speak. More videos will follow. Keep informed and above all: help us get out the message: OURY JALLOH WAS MURDERED! Please help us circulate these videos and the information regarding this case. Although we were able to force a trial against two police officers, they are only being accused of negligence for not having reacted in time. The trial, which has now seen 45 hearings, is nothing but a farce orchestrated in order to give the impression that the rule of law works. Nevertheless, you can never cover the sun with a finger.
