The Martin Ringers of Second Congregational Church, Rockford, Illinois. Richard W. Litterst, Bellmaster.

This is the 1st selecton played by the Martin Ringers at their spring concert at Second Congregational Church, April 27, 1986.

Cubley Brook is the signature song of the Thurlstone Bell Orchestra of Thurlstone, England lead by Alec Dyson and permission was granted to the Martin Ringers to perform it. The Thurlstone Bell Orchestra is the best handbell group I ever had the pleasure to see and hear. I have uploaded two videos of their ringing for the world to enjoy. I am not sure if the group is still around but I hope they are and my best regards to them!

The Martin Ringers play on a "multiple set" of 146 Whitechapel Handbells which span a range of 75 notes or 6-1/6 octaves.

The Martin Ringers ring handbells using the "off the table" method which allows them to change bells much faster.

Sorry about the poor video. This was dubbed from an old VHS tape.
