Hi, I have a question. I just got Rhinoplasty Tuesday and I am concerned. I had a tiny nose before and just wanted a bump removed and now my little cast thing came off and I saw the result. My nose looks wide at the bottome...bigger than before. I still have the packing in it...I want to know if your nose was big and swollen before. It looks like right now that I have something stuffed in my nose?

You're going to be very uncomfortable for the full week. But gets better after the first few days. Get some movies and books to read so that you can just relax at home. You'll want lots of liquids, straws, and soft foods to eat.
You won't be able to breathe out of your nose for a while, but don't freak out. The inside of your nose gets swollen from the surgery.

The uncomfortable part is how your nose feels. As long as you take your meds, it's not so much that your nose hurts. But you can't breath through it, it's really swollen, your whole face just feels uncomfortable. And on top of that, you have to be very careful to keep your face elevated, which gets annoying.

I had to sleep on my back. It's uncomfortable, but you want to make sure not to roll over on your nose!
