if i already have a amd 6970m, would the same heat sink work for a 6990m? What if I wanted to replace my 6970m with a gtx 580m?

@RFXCGZZ Yes, the same heatsink should work with both AMD cards. Same goes with the 580M. You will have to move the thermal pads around though.

The 6990m performs around a 5850 destop GPU.

The card is a single GPU based on HD 6870 with 25% downclocked.

1. It may be possible. Both GPUs are designed for large notebooks.

2. If your system can cool your existing GPU, then it is likely it will be able to cool the 6990M

3. The best place to buy a mobile GPU would be "stores.ebay.ca/Razors-Edge-by­-­Eurocom-Notebooks" to make a purchase on Ebay.

Hey Guys!

I have one (or two^^) Question(s):

I have an Acer Aspire 7750G-2638G87Bnkk (LX,RB102,061) with the ATi Radeon HD6850M card at the moment....

1. Is it possible to install the HD6990M into my notebook?

2. Do i have problems with my running system or the temperature cause the new card?

3. And whats the prize of the the HD6990M....and....where can i buy a single grafics card for notebooks? Cant find anything.....
