  • Grande Gary Moore, el rey de la Les Paul.

  • @turockandar Sorry I meant Rudolfo963's explanations. I have played three genuine vintage 59's at a guitar collector's house and they did seem to have something special; a slight edge or gain due to the de-magnetizing of the pick ups. I take my friend's word for the VOS comparison as he is a world famous player. I have one of his VOS's and think it is terrific:)

  • The full story apart from what clickty has explained is that Gary and his band had a tour bus accident and Gary and his guitar went through the window (hence the scars on his face) the guitar was restored. Peter Green never asked for it back and finally Gary sold it for somewhere in the ball park of one million £. A friend of mine played it and said that it was not that easy a guitar to play (set up actions etc..) Now that VOS Les Pauls have come out they are more playable and sound as good:)

  • @clikityclak --- I don't know what the price was but the story goes that Moore told Peter he would give it back to him any time he wanted. Back then it wouldn't have gone for the huge amounts people get for such guitars now. Peter (& Fleetwood Mac) liked how Moore played and he was a kid just starting out. Peter gave him a lot of support and vice versa later on when Green needed some help -- you know musicians...

  • Awesome tone - wow. Really looks like he's enjoying it, too. Thanks for posting.

  • Thanx for posting, great a shame he die to early great loss.

    greets Hans n amsterdam holland

  • i dont get it this guy was and still one of the best blues players ever what he done in his private life is none of your concern it doesnt matter were the guitar came from or what he chose to do with it . this guitar god play any guitar and make it cry and sound as good as anyorther .gary moore rip your in my heart for ever .

  • The guitar broke when Gary was the owner. PG initially gave the guitar to Gary in the early 70's, but later on accepted a relatively small payment from Gary Moore.

  • so peter had an accident and the guitar was hurt, and he gave it to Gary??? When did that happen, and how in the world did you get that info??? kZ2

  • @zippers2 It broke in a car accident, then he probably felt that the guitar should be in better hands.
