Very beautiful and deep meditation on death !

I strongly disagree. The introductory movement is by far the most moving part of the work.
-
Horrible sound quality. 90 percent of the music had gone with the wind. My favourite CD of all time, by the way - although two initial parts of the Requiem seem the least interesting by a big margin.

Thank you anacardiaceae for your promt answer! I will try to find more music recorded by Huelgas Ensemble - they are a first class ensemble! Also I will follow your recommendations on Ockegehm, Desprez and other renaissance composers.
Once again THANKS!
Superb! Thank you! Who performs (name of choir)? Any suggestions of more music like this!
