Just from seeing the video I see areas in non-verbal communication that could use tweaking.
I know I mentioned this before but my camera shut off at the point where I was going into
setting goals with the client. It was frustrating to have the camera shut off, but because this
experience was realistic I didn't feel like I could go back and re-do this session. It wouldn't be the same at least. I continued by by asking the client to journal and keep track of the thoughts that would upset her and to bring them with her the next time we met (if she felt comfortable). I then proceeded to give her a simplified explanation of what CBT is. I used the visual tool of core beliefs affect automatic thoughts that affect feelings/actions. I explained how CBT is focused on how your automatic thoughts can affect your feelings at a given time. I then proceeded to summarize our session and ask the client for feedback. She provided excellent feedback in that she expected me to ask questions that would help her to think differently and see things she might not have before.
