the monome it's self is just buttons set in a square grid pattern, but the nice thing is it is damn near universal as a midi controller. It's quite amazing in the hands of a talented artist like Daedelus.

thats because they use the same sample off "007 and counting" equally intresting is the song called "timber" by grantby samples the same original but uses a different part of the song.

oh ok that makes sense. yeah i knew he used a monome, but i had no real idea what he used it for/how it worked, like a midi controller maybe? Ive heard people say the great thing about the monome is that it doesn't really do anything, so it leaves unlimited possibilities open when used with other programs.

he uses a monome...makes it easy to cut on and off the samples.

how does he get the choppy sound? im guessing its just from flicking the crossfader on a scratch mixer?
