I found a butterfly with a damaged wing and put him in the shade off to the side of the main trails. Otherwise direct sunlight and hungry birds would have been the death of him.

    That's what I thought. MothMan, are you sure about the sunlight thing? But the bird thing makes sense. Anyway it was a kind thing to do (something I would have done, being the butterfly sucker I am LOL) and this is good footage, thanks for posting! :D

  • there catrpillers are invading my shcool and we have there cattrpillers

  • the sunlight warms their wings and enables tham to fly, it doesn't harm them.

  • mourning cloak is my favorite species! -although one of the hardest to approach. How did you get so close without startling it? Closest I've ever been able to get to one (without netting it) was like 15 feet! Excellent shot!
