This is a ultra retro-style children's book story my parents (Clifford Gordon Donley and Lesley Carole Donley) wrote in the 60's about a boy who meets a ghoul and needs to write him a note to get him into school. They never did anything with it as far as publishing etc. So I asked my mother if I could make a video out of it. She said yes. Then, I asked my brother (Matthew Donley) to narrate the story into Pro Tools. My niece (Madeline Donley) is the voice of Alvin Puddleman and I (Jonathan T. Donley) am the voice of the ghoul. I used and made a lot of sound effects and made a goofy little score for it on the Minimoog Voyager. And I also had fun making sound effects with a microphone. After that, I took all my mothers illustrations and put them in Final Cut and used a lot of keyframes to try to bring this story to life. I hope you enjoy!

I just had to share this email I received from one of my Dad's old students at Dublin High.

Cliff Donley

Jon,

I just wanted to share with you that your dad was my drama teacher at Dublin High from 74-77. I have such fond memories of your dad and one of my favorite things during drama class, when we did improvisations was to make your dad laugh. He had such a great laugh. I was surprised at my response when I saw his obituary in our local paper. I remember weeping. His life touched me greatly and I wasnted to pass that on to you.
