Good word, mixed with very misleading imagery.The idea abounds, that the battle between good and evil is carnal,and is fought with weapons of war. That we must go out and kill our fellow man for their sins... Nothing could be farther from the truth. If we follow the example of Jesus, we do well. The battle for souls is fought within each and every one of us. If one's heart is full of fear and hate.That one is losing his or her fight.

I am very confused by your comments. It's obvious that this is spiritual warfare. EPHESIANS chapter 6 makes that very clear. I was never referring to physical fighting yet I put on my ARMOR and Carry my SWORD every day. God bless.

@lovepeacetruth What stands out more in a mans mind? Words or pictures? One can say whatever one wants,but,if one illustrates the statement with the opposite statement,using a picture. Guess what people will see and believe. None of the churches I have attended spoke out against carnal warfare. They did in fact embrace it. They also embraced the politics that spawn war. I know what I'm saying is true.

I can see how unbelievers might think this, but I know he didn't mean go to actual physical war to kill sinners....

Not the God we serve.

@reubentovar It's the imagery,not the scripture. The battle scenes. Men killing one another with whatever. A good portion,probably the majority of my Christian bretherin,believe that killing,torture,or whatever it takes to further the gospel,is not just acceptable,but required.
