  • I was PISSED when they said Patti lost. I was like, Hell NAW. I dont blame her for walking off the stage an leavin!!

  • As a DIVA, you have earned the right to be loud and sing with your choir. Secondly, her name is 'PATTI', no Patty. Third, having a big voice (not mouth) is nothing to be ashamed of, and she was highly complimented for her efforts on the show.

  • @moroney1 She sounds better now than she did here, which is what I really meant. Plus, she is 67 and has been singing professionally for 40+ years.

  • @blktrekie29 well her voice isnt back, she just knows now how to use her matured vocals now

  • @moroney1 This was years ago -- like 4. She has gotten her voice back into shape since this. She did the smart thing by going to a vocal coach when her voice began to change.

  • 24 peoples shoes didnt come off, too bad

  • please dont blame her diabetes or band or whatever. the fact is when a woman goes thru the menopause their voices lower and hers has as well nd so she now hits ostly in her head voice whicch is what she usually didnt do, she was noted for hr chestvoice belts but look guys she is older now and it is what happens tio everyone, veen patti

  • Let's talk professionalism; no, PROFESSIONALISM. The way she formed, worked with this choir, and the very way they performed truly showed that they set the bar, and set it high. Their enunciation, their diction, the gospel runs are NOT easy to learn and perform. What and how Patti worked with the choir is the SAME level of expectation she had with working with Luther Vandross, and what Luther expected on EVERY one of his songs.

  • @FaithsTempo How do u mean she hasn't had any commercial success?

  • She may not have yielded many chart toppers, but she's one of few that didn't have commercial success who is still known as a legend. Some of my favorites: "Lady Marmalade," "If You Asked Me To," "Love U, Need U, Want U (I think that's the name), "Somebody Loves You, Baby," "Right Kinda Lover," "On My Own (w/MacDonald), "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," "When You've Been Blessed," "New Attitude," and "Stir It Up," just to name some. I love her as an actress and author, too. Her book...whoa.

  • told ya to keep the booze away from that lady. GOD!!!
