This is a quaint movie about a wedding dress that touches the lives of (four?) couples.

Very Hallmark-ish TV movie. If you haven't seen it, this is the spoiler penultimate ending. Peter Wingfield plays a widower, who meets Margaret Colin, recently estranged from her adulterous husband.

In the context of their budding romance, this scene is beautifully played. She's auctioned as a date for a hospital charity. All of the dates were to wear wedding gowns.
