The Vampire Diaries S2 Ep.11 Recap: By The Light Of The Moon

Hey everyone! Thanks for coming back to ClevverTV. At the studio, I'm Dana Ward with the recap for The Vampire Diaires. Of course, since this was the mid-season finale, a whole lot of story went down in Mystic Falls. Remember that Stefan is still trapped in the tomb with Katherine. Elena is disagreeing with everyone regarding how to handle things. She takes the moonstone and tries to slip out of the house, but since she failed the test from Bonnie and Jeremy, B puts a spell on Elena so she's trapped in the house! Meanwhile, the arrival of a new girl - Jewels - ties right into the story. She's a friend of Mason and she's on the hunt for him... and Damon and Alaric know she's up to something - which she is because she makes a call to someone revealing that Mason had lied about being the only wolf- so the guys try to ???/??/? at the bar. But she doesn't fall for it, and actually tells Damon that he's been marked, warning that it will be a fullmoon in just hours. In fact, this episode shows us parts of Tyler's first ever werewolf transformation. And Caroline is right by his side, helping by holding him through the pain, until the transformation is complete and she must protect herself by locking him up. Umm, it was absolutely disgusting to see his arm break backwards. The scene that had everyone in the real world talking? When Katherine starts seducing Stefan, stripping to her undergarments... making it seems like Damon and Elena are going to get together and they get all passionate together - cut to - oops, Katherine was just inside Stefan's head! Bonnie shows up at Luka's place, he immediately accepts her apology and together they seemingly destroy the moonstone and the curse. Crazy! And Elijah shows up at Elena's house, surprisingly saying that he does NOT want to harm her family, and he doesn't want Klous to get ahold of Elena because he doesn't want the curse to be broken. Elijah doesn't want Elena to do anything... and then when the time is right, he'll use her to find Klous and kill him. He promises to protect her family and friends - with help from the witches. After the pseudo-argument with Jewels, Damon plays it safe by heading home... only to find Rose is back waiting for him in order to apologize. But a wolf breaks in and bites Rose. Oddly, she heals - she doesn't die. Caroline comforts a now-human Tyler and I think there's a romance brewing between the enemies. And while K and S are getting used to living in the tomb together, Elijah suddenly breaks in to set-free Stefan, revealing that Elena made a deal with him and that was her request... leaving Katherine for Klous later on. We find out that Luka didn't even destroy the moonstone. He made Bonnie believe they did it... and that moonstone is going right back to Elijah as part of the plan. And right on track with this surprise, we find that a happy Rose and Damon pairing is shocked to find out the curse is real and her werewolf bite is getting worse. But since Elena and Stefan are happily reunited, we should be happy, right? What a way to end the episode. As the full moon approaches, Caroline helps Tyler prepare for the transformation he is powerless to stop. While Stefan and Katherine play mind games on one another, Damon and Alaric are suspicious when a stranger named Jules shows up in Mystic Falls, searching for her missing friend, Mason. Elena is frustrated at the lengths Jeremy and her friends have gone to in order to keep her safe. Bonnie and Luca work together on a spell, while still keeping secrets from one another. Finally, Elijah makes an unexpected appearance with an offer that could change everything. Sara Canning and Zach Roering also star. Elizabeth Allen directed the episode written by Mike Daniels.

@demishugestfanever ehh not really. didn't u hear that the author was fired from the tvd series bcuz she wanted DELENA and the editors didn't? yeah someone is going to continue HER story after she leaves bcuz she sold to the editorial the series rights. anyway the point is: she wanted delena as endgame.

@demishugestfanever- Elena said that at the end of the first episode in the 2nd season. Lol, sorry! Just felt the need to say that!! I love Delena, and I'm team delena, but I feel like it will always be stelena!:)

@Carrots9999 Totally true I mean delena would make a cute couple but lets face it in the end its always stefan , atleast in the books thats how it is and like elena said in the 1st season its always going to be stefan.

@MrBroSis Kevin left Dawson's creek. He didnt write the finale season nor the finale episode. He did admit his plan was to have Dawson end up with Joey!

I hate Rose! I want DELENA, who don't? I wonder why Rose didn't die? I hate Luka, Bonnie and Jeremy FTW. Katherine and Stefan would be a good couple, they would balance each other out. Tyler and Caroline <3 It's just one of the best pairings ever
