Woman Made of Cake (exclusive behind scenes)

"The Cake Boss" (Buddy Valerez) of Carlow's Bakery in Hoboken, NJ, allowed us to visit his kitchen last March. He and his family were shooting TLC's new season's debut of The Cake Boss, which aired tonight (5/31/10).

Nobody asked me NOT to post this footage of a birthday cake Buddy made in the likeness of his wife, Lisa), but I didn't want to spoil the surprise of the season's opener. After all, they gave Charlie a VIP tour! :) Here you'll see the partially formed body before the "that's a man baby" head was replaced with a better version.
I left this part out of the original video documenting our visit in March, and was looking forward to sharing it now... Too good not to post- especially Buddy's comment about sizing the chest. As background, we went to the bakery to pickup a cake for Jo (my wife), and about 5 people told me "no way, no how" to a "behind the scenes" tour. Finally one of Buddy's sisters put me on the phone with Carlow's PR contact... and he couldn't have been more accommodating. Thanks Carlow's and Buddy, and good luck on the new season!

You may not know about this show, but it's really addictive. My whole family is hooked, and were extremely jealous of Charlie's backstage pass.
