What's funny is that this is actually a pretty "metal" song. I mean, stand-alone, it would be pretty awesome, right? If this is true, the additional truth is that Rick Astley must have had a good song too. The main difference is that myself (and probably most of these posters) abhor pop and love metal. I mean, I think this version of the song is incredible. Does that mean that if I had a broader musical perspective that I would feel the same way about the original?
