  • eich, i am having a bit of trouble with bumping :D i have 17 bump keys from specialkeys and a brockage bump hammer, sloxsprings and dampeners, so i am kitted out for it, but i have not managed to bump one open yet! u make it look so easy, did it take u long to master bumping?

  • Its all in the timing mate if not using spacers, but you have to keep resetting the key. With spacers etc you crack and turn, again turning at the exact moment the pins fly past sheers line. You can keep cracking and twitching the key until it opens. You can add more spacers if no joy, and different sizes too... A spring also works a treat too

Once you get your first lock bumped you will know what I mean buddy and others will fly open as you get use to turning key on impact at right time :-)

  • @waddac2 so u dont have any tension on the key for turning untill after it has been hit and the pinned have jumped up hopefully past the sheer line?

  • You put the key in all the way, then draw out a click (Thats if your not using spacers or rubber grommets). Put VERY, VERY LIGHT tension on the key in the direction your turning to bump.... AND MEAN SUPER LIGHT TENSION as if you not moving the key, just so its moved a tad. It is then a sharp crack with the bump hammer, and on the second of impact you add a bit more tension on the key and turn and if done at the perfect time, the lock is bumped mate :-)

  • great video waddac compliments!!

  • Cheers OMEGARED mate... enjoyed doing that one and had to be quick picking up bits out the pile.Lol!!
