Hi Dan I am glad that you have been doing well with dusty garbage bags. LOL Anyway I am a member w/ Storage Wars, and they asked what people thought of Mark the new bidder. I said I didn't like him much, and that if they needed a new character or bidder more or less to look you up. I left them with your Youtube address. Who even knows if they read their responses, but one lady did like what I posted and checked you out. Look forward to your future videos and finds. Take care Dan.

@StorageUnitAuctions We experienced the same thing with a local chain. But the catch is, for the same reason you can not touch what is inside, is that the owner can pay it off or make arrangements up until the time of auction. Some auctioneers, will list an auction and it will say some items are sold separate or pieced out. Meaning: Auctioneer or owner has gone through and removed what they wanted to, and are counting on your paying them to haul off trash.

I have been doing this for a couple of years now, and went full time a year ago. Garbage bags, don't always mean trash, you are right. Sometimes, there will be a layer of trash bags, filled with clothes, on top of other things, because the kind of fit the space. We often visit storage auctions by a company or the same auctioneer and watch. One company, out of 4 auctions, 21 unit, 4 different sites, all the boxes were opened, and not resealed. We do not attend that business anymore.

@shabbysheek10 you bet - my pleasure!
Hi Dan
Thanks so much for answering my questions. You are so informative. You also made me laugh, so I had to watch your video a couple of times. Anyway you are very right about the dust or lots of dust being on trash bags or boxes etc. It shows they were meant to stay and would be of some value maybe. From watching all your videos you give so many helpful hints, that when you do truly think about it, you make so much sense. Every No brings you closer to a Yes. Have a great weekend.

@kimosaby1962 Thanks Kim, and as weird as this may sound, I've done really well buying storage lockers filled with dusty garbage bags - LOL!

Anyway, we have been to many auctions, but this was the worst. It amounted to a day completely wasted. It's too coincidental that there were NO units out of 17 with anything of value in them. Oh, and the newbies were buying all the trash at top dollar. It was a very strange day. It all became so obvious that the owner is taking the good stuff, especially at times when he said "Oh look folks there is a (insert example item here waaaay in the back)!"

@shadowfaxx1 No shit!! You know, I bet your suspicion is dead on. Where do you live? I'm no lawyer and i don;t pretend to play one on YouTube but I think there is a law - at least here in NY - that forbids a facility from doing what you are suspecting. Also, let the newbies overpay for shit lockers. There's no better way to thin the herd for the next auction than knuckleheads paying too much for junk at this auction. Know what I mean?

@StorageUnitAuctions We live in the Portland, Oregon area. Anyway, I left you this message because of something you said in your video. You said don't necessarily be a motivated buyer and to not spend money on a locker unless it is truly what you are after. We were both pissed by the end of the day, but happy we had not wasted money. One other thing: It looked as if some items in these lockers were on "display." They deliberately put one somewhat valuable item in full view. It was obvious.

@shadowfaxx1 Good - I'm very happy that something i said helped you to not waste your money. And I swear, the way you're describing this auction I'll bet everything that you're right on the money. They were most likely palying on the "storage auction craze" bating new comers to overpay for junk. Scummy bastards!!! LOL!!
