Gift from Vinylrecordsneverdie / Damusician. Thank you so much!!!

This was NOT a direct audio connection. The sound was being played through the Dahlquist DQ-10s and matching DQ-1W sub with the DQ-MX1 passive crossover.

Receiver: 1971 Sansui 7000
Turntable: Early 70s Thorens TD-160 with Shure V15 III cartridge.

  • Sounds like it's in pristine condition! Not even a faint crackle during the lead-in, especially considering how loud you had it playing!

  • Not a scratch on it, and I steam cleaned it prior to use to remove any dust/dirt. Sounded amazing as you've heard.

  • @spatsbear2 what do you steam clean with and how? you should do an instructable that would be awsome great vid by the way

  • I had a video up... Though WMG hit it and ruined it.

I need to do it with some other source material. I have a Perfection brand (Walgreens) steam cleaner. Spray it with stream, then wipe with a normal cloth followed by a microfiber cloth. Repeat until it is clean.

Has worked wonders on my end.

There are some other steam cleaning vids on YouTube as well by others.

  • does this work with 33 1/2rpm LP's too?

  • Yes. In my original video, I cleaned the 2 Saturday Night Fever LPs with excellent results.

  • i got this lp now it small lulz

  • WOW!

The audio quality even played through YouTube is impressive! I want that stereo!!!

You can hear everything so clearly, I bet the bass is top notch in person.

  • I diputed them on one of my videos with the fair use claim and they instantly put my music back.

  • i love that shag carpet man

  • I may try it!

  • @spatsbear2

I use a microfiber cloth, dishsoap, and and tap water. Works wonders! The only downside to cleaning records this way is the chance of getting the label wet. Sounds awesome. Your camera has very good mics on it.

  • This song will always remind me of the movie Mannequin.
