  • great point.

also, you can't understand any law in the torah out of the 613 laws for jews.. without the Oral Torah.

it's like commanding someone to make a specific meal to the king without giving him the exact recipe.. and tell him "if you won't do it corecctly you will be punished"

it just doesn't make any sense.

  • Good point. I'll try to do a bit more research on this and make a video on it. I want to really try to hammer in the importance of the oral torah.

  • very nice job, my friend.

    do you know hebrew?

  • unfortunately, no. I know the aleph bet and how to write it, and I know some words, but i'm nowhere near 'knowing' it. What I decided to do starting a couple days ago is write down 5 vocab words every day and memorize them. I'm going to combine that with trying to read the bible in hebrew daily. Hopefully all this helps and I can one day really know hebrew.

  • there are lots of sites for learning hebrew free

and I also can help you

you know, the best way to learn a language is to experience it :)

  • I'm definately open to you pointin me in the right direction.

  • The oral Torah is extinct; it is the cause for the destruction of the idolaters who hate YHWH; it was never written down except as vague recalls. There were more than one stream of verbal Torah; should we accept one we would have to accept all.

  • @kithp Yes you are right intermarriage could wip out the jewish people and that would be sad cause there is very many wonderful jewish people. Many intelligent jewish people within science, music, art etc. so yes please stop the intermarriage thing. I do hope the new generation are more tolerant towards other people than they are or were before. Anyway jewish people are well integrated in my country and equal in every way. There is just few elder people who just stick to religious madness.

  • @globe255 You don't really know if it was because your Christian or not Jewish or what the issue was. among the Ultra Orthodox the boys and girls are not supposed to mix. Not that I agree with that. What I do agree with is that intermarriage is a problem. It has nothing to do with religious fanaticism, it is simply because we are a small nation and will be wiped out if we intermarry.

  • @kithp The old man was probably her father who couldnt bare to see his daughter talking a little too serious with a christian man. I didnt know how to deal with the situation so i left. I was 100% sure i couldnt stand a chance against religious fanaticism.

  • @kithp Anyway its a bad thing if religion shall prevent people from being together then you cant talk about real love. Many years ago i was in love with a jewish girl but i couldnt take if further simply because the religion made it impossible. She just told me some day: We cant go on cause im jewish- i replied: Does it matter that you are jewish? She didnt answered my question. Just in the same time i could see a old man coming in my direction with the traditional jewish headgear.

  • @keren21186 Not true, it's like commanding the Kings chef to cook his Monday Meal. The chef already knows what his monday meal is! The people already had traditions so they knew what the specifics were of the few things that were not clear. What does not make sense is that hashem gives us a perfect work (tora) and you want to add to it when the torah forbids this.

  • @globe255 Anyone can convert to Judaism, Orthodox Judaism has traditionally not made it easy for people to convert to make sure they are sincere.

  • So I guess anyone who speeks Latin or Greek should accept the Gospel as the word of god? It is highly unlikely there ever was an oral torah, other than the traditions which were known when the bible was given.

  • @ipwnnewbs50 I dont see muhamedanism as an religion but as an ideology belonging to a cult/sect.
