There has not been anything stated in the manga about Ichigo's mask markings and his hollow side. All that has been said is that his markings are gradually changing, and the most recent one is totally different in design. It doesn't mean his hollow is taking over...If anything Ichigo is still just evolving, like Chad with his armor changes. When Ichigo is done, he will probably even be able to do Cero on his own.

@TheGronnegaard Hollow Ichigo is an extension of Zangetsu, tied together with Ichigo's spirit. He is simply much more inventive with his fighting style, but at the same time he probably leaves a lot of openings, which would make sense of a hollow.

he let him thats why so that ichigo guard would be down, making it easy for him to devour him later. his mask shows the level of control the hollow has on him by its markings. another point is he is the main character

bcuz hollow ichigo is a part of ichigo, neither of them can actually lose bcuz when they fight they're in ichigo's soul, and if either died it would hurt kurosaki's soul. in a more recent episode the hollow says "Him, suppress me? You've got to be kidding!" hence the hollow "loses" because he is fused with ichigo's soul, and cannot kill him or he will be destroyed, so wat he trys to do is simply gain dominance, so he can be the one controlling ichigo's body.
