Oatman, Arizona -- Route 66

After an hour along some of the most scenic parts of the drive on Route 66. Where the road and the vistas are hard to beat we stumbled into Oatman, Arizona -- an old gold mining town that was a favorite get-away for Clark Gable. In fact, it's said he spent his honeymoon with Carole Lombard here. Tourism has replaced gold as its number one resource. Its impossible not to be sucked into this four block long old West curio shop.

He's wrong, of course. The Oatman region is one of the least picturesque stretches of AZ 66. You have to get to Williams (where Dennis Hopper shot footage for Easy Rider) and the hilly surrounding areas among the pines.

We were just there we rode our harleys from Laughlin to oatman to kinsman on route 66 what a ride. One of the nicest rides I've ever done.
