  • I live in finland n i really do appreciate the education system over here....:) Most of all it is free...

  • I'm surprised so many other countries in the world do not adopt the same system. Oh well, their loss :) Congratulations Finland !

  • @09vjblue, they only show brighter side here) somwhere i Helsinki suburbs half a class could be african refugees kids, and the classes aren't that small.

  • @ihatecandy01

Most Scandinavians are light haired with blue eyes. I believe it is where the recessive genes originated.

  • were are the black kids?? thier all blonde! wtf?

  • 4:37 all white children, few students, nice facilities this is like an american teachers wet dream

  • @Robert420L

Do you have to pay significant taxes for the educational system?

  • Left out here is the fact that simply getting accepted into a Finnish college for educators is VERY hard. They don't accept "C" students like I was in the 70's! (I did, however, prove to be an excellent teacher, but it took a couple years.) Also missing is the nice paycheck Finnish teachers make, thus luring more top quality teachers into the profession. Important omissions!

  • @hopefultoo actually, i'd think the high standard of teacher-education might actually help you guys. everything is still related to your own relation towards your own teacher, so even if you're not in "the great schools", at least you have a teacher that knows her/his stuff properly and precisely like everyone else.

I guess it depends on the university and the teacher :) A friend of mine studied management in the Lapland University (In Rovaniemi) and she was amazed. She said that it was perfect- very professional teachers and very friendly people.
