Monterey Bay Birding

Monterey County is consistently ranked one of the top birding sites in the world. It has even won a couple titles as America's birdiest county.

Few places can match the diversity of habitats in the monterey bay. We have wooded and mountain areas, coastal wetlands, shoreline habitats and of course, the open ocean. Several make their home here year round, while many stop to rest while on migration. Birds benefit from the open spaces that cities like Monterey strive to protect.

So come on down to the City of Monterey and experience a birder's paradise. Take your binoculars and camera and go hiking. Take a pelagic seabird trip from Fisherman's Wharf.
