Bezeklik ancient UFOs? Thousand Buddha Caves

Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves are complex of Buddhist cave grottos, dating from the 5th to the 9th centuries, between the cities of Turpan and Shanshan .
The caves at Bezeklik, situated in the Flaming Mountains, along the Silk Road; contained at one time, some of the best preserved Buddhist images and statuary in China.
Many of the cave images, have what appear to be; depictions of ancient UFOs. Some of the pigments used in the frescos at Bezeklik were azurite & malachite.
Then, in 1914, Sir Aurel Stein showed up and took most of it away . However; Bezeklil is still beautiful.
Bezeklik means "Place Where There Are Paintings'........

The Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves (Bozikeli Qian Fo Dong) are on the north-western side of the Flaming Mountains facing a river valley about 15 kilometres north of the ruins of the ancient city of Gaochang and 45 kilometres east of modern Turpan. These caves are one of the largest Buddhist grotto complexes in Xinjiang, with 77 shiku (caves carved to house Buddhist images) containing frescoes and statuary ranging from the naive to the masterly.

Unfortunately, the site has suffered waves of despoilment, whether from vandals and thieves, Muslims seeking to eliminate traces of Buddhism after Islam swept across Central Asia, overzealous Red Guards, or avaricious European explorer-archaeologists. The most notorious of the latter, Albert Von Le Coq, removed a number of frescos from the walls of Bezeklik and sent them off to Berlin, where those that weren't destroyed by World War II bombs can be seen in museums.

Actually the rings or halos around the head is common throughout many religious depictions of gods or dieties. Its representative of a space helmet.

The ufos in the paintings look like smaller versions of the lotus seats on which the bodhisatvas are sitting. They could easily represent places in one of the heavens reserved for future bodhisatvas. And the ufo in the Tibetan sculpture at the end is almost certainly an umbrella, which in the Indo-Tibetan is a sign of royalty and or holiness. Buddhist iconography can provide explanations for the images that have nothing to do with ufos. Nice music & images though.

Hi,i'm Buddhist from thailand. Sorry for my weak english. Actually all of these pics don't connect with UFO or alian stuff. those circle object which buddha sitting on are LOTUSES! lotus is a symbol of purity or mean that buddha was a "human" who haก pure mind 100%that means no ANGER, GREED and FASCINATION.So lotuses in those pics just refer to PURITY :)

But...about 2500years ago,Buddha used to taught buddhists about Alians and described about them.How did he know? take long time to explaine
