Explains the developmental process of fibromyalgia and demonstrates the hands-on protocol of full-body massage for patients with fibromyalgia.

Clinical symptoms
The main clinical symptom is pain that increases: at night, during deep breathing, when the head is bent and turned to the unaffected side, and when the arm is abducted. The pain spreads to the shoulder, armpit and lateral part of the thoracic cage. Also, patients complain about numbness and paraesthesia on the ulnar edge of the hand (hypothenar and 4th-5th fingers) and arm. One of the most important diagnostic signs is diversity of vasomotor changes. These can be the result of insufficient arterial blood supply to the arm (pain in the hand especially after exposure to lower temperatures; pale, cold skin; cyanosis; weak pulse) or insufficient venous blood drainage from the arm (edemas and increased skin temperature). If anterior scalene muscle syndrome exists for a long period of time, without adequate treatment, the hand will lose its strength because of muscle atrophy mostly at the ulnar edge of the arm and the hypothenar.
An important clinical sign involves Wartenberg's test. If the examiner palpates in the spot where the anterior scalene muscle inserts into the first rib, local pain will appear. This test allows the practitioner to differentiate anterior scalene muscle syndrome can secondarily evoke rotator cuff syndrome. This is a very important diagnostic test because irritation of the brachial plexus by an over-tensed anterior scalene muscle can secondarily evoke rotator cuff syndrome. if the practitioner mistakenly starts treatment of this pathology as a rotator cuff syndrome, it will not yield significant results because the real cause of the problem is anterior scalene muscle syndrome.

  • Someone needs to find an answer for the cause of FM. Fibromyaglia is a NEUROLOGICAL illness. It is NOT a type of arthritis nor should a rhuematologist treat this condition. Chemicals in the brain are messed up which causes central sensitization. Also immune abnormalities are present and sleep is disturbed. That is about all we know which is a damn shame. Write a letter to the CDC saying FM should not be categorized under arthritis, because that is how it is right now. We need CHANGE! thumbs up

  • @jumb0mumb0 absolutely . Fibromyalgia isn't arthritis .I would highly recommend to visit my website and to read my article on this subject. The theory that we are proposing clinically proven as a right one. It is manageable condition, and more have to do with hormonal changes, emotional and physical traumas that secondary awaking graduate muscle tension accumulation, leading to ATP energy crisis, secondary triggering sleep disorders, clinical depression etc.

    Best wishes.

    Boris

  • @J20M07 maybe there is some cases of psychosomatic disorders, that matching fibromyalgia symptoms, but in most cases it is real painful syndrome with real objectives for the pain production, accompanied with clinical depression etc. actually 25 years ago when patient did complain and describe fibromyalgia symptoms , and because blood tests and radiological examinations didn't support clinical symptoms, patients where referred to psychiatric care and never could come back to normal life.

  • @J20M07 There is explanation why women is most dominating in this cases. you said:"statistics of those who suffer with this are mostly women, of middle-class backgrounds" I'm kind of questioning this statistic in regards of middle class background. Environment of location where one living, including but not limited to purity of water etc. can play some role.

  • @J20M07 In the bottom of screen is my website. Please visit it and click on the articles, one of each providing details in regards of fibromyalgia. If you will have any questions after reading it please feel free to post it.

    Best wishes.

  • @J20M07 you have no idea what you're talking about

  • ..I need every bit of this work. I know it's bad..but I couldn't feel any of that gentle work at this point...if it isn't elbow work...It doesn't open the energy, don't feel anything. But as I told you, I expect to pay a price in pain and swelling usually; unfortunately. Wish I could ship you my scapula..lol Wonderful work and videos..thank you xo!

  • @dazer123 there are cures for FMS hun, but not one technique will work. NLP to address the neurological causes, massage accupressure, enzymes, specific herbs AND enzymes, in addition to a stict diet reducing acid levels in your blood and bodies toxicity will help with the physical symptoms. Most people will use pharmasuticals and suffer on. Therefor seeming like there is not cure. I'm sorry you feel so hopeless .
