Orient introduced its Retro Future collection which is inspired by the futuristic, industrial designs of the 1950s at the JCK Las Vegas 2008.
The Retro Future collections was developed and merges two ideas using industrial design motifs from classic 1950's airplanes, cars, motorcycles and cameras.
According to the company, Orient has produced more than 80 million mechanical watches in-house since the 1950's. Thanks to the brand's 50-year experience in micro-precision technology, it is able to produce such large quantities of quality mechanical movements while expanding the scope of its activities to other industry segments such as IT-related products including printer components, quartz oscillators, silicon wafers and other electronic devices.
Nice info, didn't realise Orient was so big.
