You would most definitely find that the Earth's pull has WAY more influence than they have on each other. A sphere of water with 1 kg of mass has a radius of 6.2 cm. If two spheres were placed side by side with a 1 cm gap between them, their centers would be 13.4 cm apart.
a=Gm/r²=(6.67*10^-11)(1kg)/(13.4)²= 0.0000000037 m/s².
Combined acceleration would be 0.0000000074 m/s².
Acceleration toward Earth = 8.6 - 8.8 m/s².
FYI, the spheres would make contact in about 26 or 27 minutes.
