This video is an update of my worm bin. Patti Moreno, the Garden Girl and Al, the Garden Kid open their worm bin to harvest the worm castings from their kitchen scraps for use in their container plants. See what tons of kitchen scraps, junk mail and 5 pounds of red wiggler worms can do. It really works and anyone can do it. If you ever wanted to see how it works watch this video. If you want to make your own watch the response video "How to Make Your Own Worm Bin" There' s lots more to see at http://www.gardengirltv.com, http://www.urbansustainableliving.com, and http://www.gardenkidtv.com.

  • Instead of dumping out all the worms and dirt and scraps, you can push the decomposed material to one side of the bin, and start adding more food and scraps to the other side...the worms will travel to the new food, leaving you with the soil, free of worms, ready to scoop out...and when they've broken down the new side of food, push that all to the side, give them new-NEW food to go to, and do it all over again.

  • We have fatter Worms over here on this side of the Pond.
