  • Looks like you got al original medals there. Good base to start a collection. Please don't sell them. Take good care of them . Good stuff like you got is sometimes hard to come by..Good Luck..

  • Thats not a railroad gun. It is a German Navy costal defense badge worn by personnel that man shore batteries.

  • @TRcollector exactly thats one reason why we were HEAVILY debating rather to. And on top of that i never met my grandpa who died in 91 [i was born in 98[ of a failed heart surgery. ;[...one reason why i collect is for that i feel i am retracing a small foot step in my grandpa's life.

  • @popsnacks2 Well then chances are they're good, but there were makers producing badges after the war to fulfill the desire G.I's had to bring German medals back home. To makers to be carful of are Rudolf Souval ( R.S ) and Steinhauer & Luck ( S&L ) sometimes these badges are marked and sometimes they're not. If your grandfather brought them back then my opinion would be to not sell them.

  • @TRcollector well they came back from the war with my grandpa soooo they are definetly real its just a matter of how much their worth and if its something to sell

  • @popsnacks2 In my experience, if you don't, or didn't know what you have, then you should get them checked out , either by a dealer, or on an online collectors forum ( German Combat Awards, and, Wehrmacht Awards Forum are the best) . As you may know most of these badges out here are fakes, and you probably want to make sure you've got good ones.
