Davy Crockett, one of America's most celebrated frontiersman, was born in Tennessee in 1786. He served as colonel in the militia, as a Tennessee Representative in the U.S. Congress, then went off to Texas with a band of volunteers to help the Texicans in their fight again Santa Anna. His death at the Alamo helped secure his place in our history. Music is "Song of the Patriot," sung by Johnny Cash. The music goes on and on about the flag, but of course the flag at that time was a Texas flag (Mexico's three colors with the year 1824 stamped on it). And the Lone Star flag which replaced it (after Texas became a Republic) lasted only until Texas became the 28th star on the American flag, 10 years later.
That's some collection of Crockett stuff, enjoyable, well done.
