I agree - Scientology's practices and "philosophies" cater to (and are popular with) people that may have NPD (or any of the DSM IV behavior patterns focused on oneself). Rathbun's behavior while in (and often times, while out) of Scientology definitely put him in NPD territory. If he were as magnanimous as he claims about himself then he would have spilled all to the public years ago and not acted haughty when someone asks for an apology for his behavior. He disgusts me.

I'm not obsessed with anything, I have zero involvement in scientology either way.

I have a problem with it and its tax exempt status in the US and other countries, I have a problem with its use of fronts such as Narconon as a way to suck people in to scientology, I have a problem with the way it destroys peoples lives and makes people sign billion year contracts that essentially makes slaves out of young people and I have a problem with the way it bleeds people out of every penny they have.
