Miss Witherspoon's gown indeed may have been inspired by Dior's design - however, the video shows a footage from about 1950 and the stripes are different.

Dietrich wore the 2nd white gown modelled in her 1950 English picture "Stagefright" it can be seen when she is on stage in a musical number prior to the famous "Laziest girl in town" number.
