This is my 'take' of Eruption by Van Halen using my Budda Superdrive 18 and a Fender Blues Jr. The guitar is a Music Man Van Halen model.

  • Is the Budda handling all of the hi gain duties? Combo or head? Are you using any boosts/effects? Can you share your amp settings?

  • Impressive!

  • @bjlagilmore Many thanks! I am going to try it out next week. I will let you know about... I need a little amp, light (weight) and powerful though. Best regards!

  • @VelhosNovos Sorry didn't answer sooner.......haven't checked this site in a while...it's my mother's post. :)

I don't have much experience with the clean channel playing gigs...I'm always on the dirty channel. It does have a great sounding clean channel and I'm pretty sure it would be plenty loud enough for most gigs. I played a big outdoor show with this same rig, and with it miked in the p.a., it did the job. I'm talking about 2,000 people big. Hope this helps you out! Thanks for listening!

  • Hi man! great sound! do you think that the Budda 18 has a great clean for mid gigs?

  • @sheloves2rock Thanks!

  • You make your momma proud boy... great job!

  • I run the level on the delay at about 3-4, feedback 3-4. delay time about 4-6, and the delay mode was 800 ms. The output on the slave out of the Budda was at about 5.

I do run the Delay sometimes in line with the chorus into the Blues jr., but we only had a mic on the Budda so I put it in the fx loop.

  • @bjlagilmore - I'm amazed the Budda loop didn't overpower the DD3. Very cool!

  • The Budda is handling 99% of the gain. I do have a boss sd 1 overdrive between the guitar and the amp. Gain on the overdrive was 2-4, level 4-5, tone 3-4. I use it for a mid boost. It is a 1 x12 combo. I had a boss dd 3 delay in fx loop of the Budda. I ran the slave out of the Budda, into a boss chorus, into the Blues jr. set very clean. Amp settings are Vol. 3-4, Bass 8, Mid 5-6 with the modern switch pulled out. Treb. 4, Drive 8. Speakers are V-30's in both amps. Thanks for listening!
