@KnfRaw Curtis's vocals were shit, he wrecked the song with his painful drone. This is much better

Wow I like new order but I love joy division way more the singer fuckin butchard this song

I love New Order, but I wish they'd left this song alone. All of Joy Division played a beautiful part in the song, but Ian's deep, haunting vocals were the jewel in the crown. Not only was his voice perfect for it, but the lyrics and feelings were his too. Admittedly, if there was ever a suitable band to 'cover' the song, it's New Order. But even so, I just don't think they're worthy. R.I.P. Ian.

I realized that I'd like to hear this song with Sumner on vocals, so I looked this up. Really wish he'd have sung an octave up... I think the song could benefit from gentler vocals.

They can play it, but he can't sing it like Ian Curtis
-
I actually lol ... who is the singer? lol

It's unexpected fact! Because I have heard they did not perform JD song during Factory except for Ceremony. It's beautiful discovery to me!! Thank you uploading :)

This reminds me of 'Temptation'. It's spooky how JD and NO are so different in their approach and outlook, not to mention sound, and yet underpinning it all are the same basic souls.
