I don't know what you do for a living .....but in my business - Criminal Law, everyday people are getting arrested, getting charged, gaining felony convictions over things that "a bunch of stupid retards that do not comprehend the reality and gravity of the situation" do. Take some time and read your local paper or watch the news.
