Something is wrong with that amp or crossover, the excursion on those speakers are weak you system is blocking anything under 40hz I notice. I have a older denon reciever AVR-5800 that put 310W/CH RMS @4ohms and with some cerwin vega like yours and they reach almost maximum extension, so loud it almost going to rip the drywall with no distrortion.
That Pioneer SX1980 that does 275w/ch into 8 ohms, it may need new capacitors or that EQ you are using maybe the problem.

very nice.you need to get some better rca cables and thicker speaker wire like 12g i had a pair of at 15s and it made a hell of a diffrence,wish i still had them. but nice system though
