Historical evidence that the Septuagint was know the Greek speaking Jews before the birth, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus. And it was known to Greek Speaking Jews before the Council of Javneh in AD 90 decided the Canon for the Hebrew Canon. It is also known to the Ethiopian Jews who accept it as canon today. This is to respond to those who think the Catholic Church has added to the Bible, when in fact the Septuagint was Sacred among the Greek Speaking Jews and the Ethiopian Jews.
The books within it are known in other Ancient text and writings as mentioned in the video. All Seven of the deuterocanonical books rejected when the Hebrew Bible was decided are found in the Dead Sea Scrolls. Some scholars thought the LXX was unique to the Alexandrian Greek-Jewish people, but fragments of all of them have been found in Hebrew and or Aramaic among the Dead Sea Scrolls. This means they had a wide and multi-lingual circulation among the Jewish people.
There are people who claim that the Council of Javneh never happened. But, these Jewish Encyclopedia's say differently.
(The Encyclopedia of Judaism, vol 15 page 117)" says that the limit of the third part (Writings) was not finalized until mid of second century. In addition, the Hebrew Canon was also not accepted by Ethiopian Jews who accept Septuagint to this day "
(Encyclopedia Judaica, vol. 6, p. 1146)"There is no evidence that the Rabbis at the council of Javneh (90A.D.), had the legitimate authority to determine scripture for the Jewish religion"
(Encyclopedia Judaica, vol. 6, p. 1147)."The group of Jews which met at Javneh became the dominant group for later Jewish history, and today most Jews accept the canon of Javneh. However, some Jews, such as those from Ethiopia, follow a different canon which is identical to the Catholic Old Testament and includes the seven Deuterocanonical books."
(Encyclopedia Judaica, vol. 6, p. 1148)."Protestantism derives its Old Testament Canon from the European Jews who followed the Canon of the council of Jamnia or Javneh (90 CE.)."
Martin Luther acknowledged the Catholic Church as the custodian of sacred Scripture when he wrote, "We concede—as we must—that so much of what they [the Catholic Church] say is true: that the papacy has God's word and the office of the apostles, and that we have received Holy Scriptures, Baptism, the Sacrament, and the pulpit from them. What would we know of these if it were not for them?" (Sermons on the Gospel of John, Chap. 14-16 (1537), in vol. 24 of Luther's Works [St. Louis, Missouri: Concordia Publ. House, 1961], 304).
The 1560 Geneva Bible and the 1611 Authorized Version associate Wisdom 3.8 with 1Corinthians 6:2 and Matthew 19:28 in a marginal reference. In both passages, the saints judge the nations. The passage from Wisdom is a more appropriate reference than Daniel 7:22, where justice is given to the saints.
The 1560 Geneva Bible and the 1611 Authorized Version associate Wisdom 2:18with Matthew 27:43 in a marginal reference. In both instances, evil men test the relationship between a righteous one and God.
The 1560 Geneva Bible and the 1611 Authorized Version associate Wisdom 2:14with these New Testament passages in a marginal reference. The righteous man described in Wisdom is an affront to the wicked. His mere presence makes them feel guilty. So also the Son of God shines as light into the darkness and makes the wicked deeds of men manifest.
The 1560 Geneva Bible associates Wisdom 7:26 with Hebrews 1:3 in a marginal reference. The Son and Wisdom are described in similar terms: both enjoy the brightness of his glory/light, employ his power, and are the image of his goodness/person.
The 1560 Geneva Bible and the 1611 Authorized Version associate Wisdom 12:24 with Romans 1:23 in a marginal reference.
The 1560 Geneva Bible associates Wisdom 13:1 with Romans 1:19 in a marginal reference. Both passages emphasize that creation itself provides sufficient reason for belief in God.

The Septuagint was not translated from any fictitious Hebrew Pentateuch. No such book ever existed. The name 'Pentateuch' was plagiarized by later Europeans and employed as a term for identification of a fictitious 'Hebrew Bible' that never existed in ancient times. Enough with the 'Hebrew Apologetics', get's boring after a while. The Septuagint was a translation of Ancient Egyptian documents until the Early Church Fathers got a hold of it and wrote a 'screen play'. You've not a clue.

Concerning Jesus' words in John echoing Ecclesiasticus, you had the verse right the first time. It's 21, not 29. I checked in my Greek Septuagint and Greek New Testament. :)

@yellowballpoets The source of the problem regarding Apostle Peter is wether he is the Rock?
What are the Keys of Heaven?
What is the binding and loosening?
The Keys of Heaven is the Truth Of Christ!
John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
All the Apostles were able to cast out demons and heal the sick, this includes sin!
Apostle Peter was also the first one that was called satan!

@yellowballpoets In the Orthodox Church interpretation, "Giving you the keys to the Kingdom", and "Whatsoever you will bind on earth will be bound in heaven" means firstly, Priestly office, and secondly, the Sacrament of Confession.
My question is: How would Jesus Christ, ever in His Divine mind by saying, "I give you (Peter) the keys to the Kingdom" intend to institute a man (the Pope), as an infallible and autonomous leader of His Church?
Ever heard of the bishops called the Pentarchy?
mishakol129 10 months ago
@mishakol129 No it is the person:'I will give YOU the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven;'whatever YOU bind on earth will be bound on Earth will be bound in heaven;and whatever YOU loose in earth will be loosed in Heaven'.Mt 16:19.Christ would not leave his Church without a visible head to lead it after him, would he?
Jesus reinstates Peter in John 21:15-19.Peter heads the meeting to choose who will replace Judas Acts 1:12-26.Peter address the crowd with Authority after Pentecost Acts 2:14-40.

@yellowballpoets But we are not true brothers because there is a massive schism which has been since 1054. Also, in Mat 16:18, Jesus was not speaking of Peter as having the authority to give the keys of the kingdom to Rome, that story is rather far fetched IMHO. That "Rock" upon which Christ built His Church, was not the person Peter, because Peter means "Petros" which literally means "a Rock", so it was Peters confession* and "Rock of Faith" so to speak, that the gates of hell will not prevail
