@MrJackanthony - What is a Motif? A motif is a fragment, a recurring succession of notes. One core idea underlying the Motif synth is that you can take a few Motifs, which may be phrases, arpeggios, patterns, drum beats, and link them up into a song. Hey, it worked for Beethoven, and many others since.

@TheLeonski dont worry midi is not that difficult I had never use Logic before but i think you only need to set up just as a midi imput device maybe you'll need to set up the remote if you want to and I think that the Motif XS transmits all the remote data through the port 4 hope it helps

for those motif experts out there i have a important question:
I own a Macbook Pro & Motif XS6 now i have bought Logic Express 9 and heard you can use and record the instruments from the XS to Logic. My question is how do you do that. I have got a usb cord (same cord that works for printer to Computer) and dont know what to do... Please help me.... I have been trying for over 8-10 months and because i am only 13 years old it is quite difficult for me.

Bert says the most funny yet product catching things in his demos I'm glad yamaha got HIM to do the MOTIF instead of someone else.

Isn't about realism, is about FUN and creativity, and this instruments can do that (if you're good too). Btw, I loved this arrange version much more than the real boring thing.
