A visual presentation of the new album by Andy Palacio & the Garifuna Colelctive entitled "Watina". Formed by members of the unique African-Indigenous Garifuna community of Central America, the Garifuna Collective presents soul-stirring music that unites the legacies of Africa and the Caribbean to create a powerful and moving tribute to Garifuna culture. The album "Watina" will be released on February 27th, 2007 on the new record label Cumbancha. More information available soon at www.cumbancha.com.

Just bought Andy Palacio & the Garifuna Collective CD, "Watina," and am completely addicted to it! Beautiful music--simplemente maravilloso!!
In 2007, Palacio was named a UNESCO Artist for Peace and won the prestigious WOMEX Award. "Watina" was also nominated for the BBC Radio 3 World Music Awards. R.I.P Andy Palacio.
