A quick sample movie, filmed on an iPad 2 and edited on the iPad with iMovie, showing off my old Macbook, currently hooked up to a flat screen TV to watch Al-Jazeera.

The video quality is a little grainy and the lighting conditions weren't perfect. The intro screen was done in Keynote and saved as a screenshot, but you can only import pictures in iMovie via their Ken Burns effect, and even with fixed start and end points, there's some loss of quality.

iMovie actually kept stalling when I tried to upload it to YouTube, so I had to export it via the camera roll (Photos) app.

  • Does any of AlJazeera apps support AirPlay from iPhone to Apple tv 2?

  • @win2kpro It doesn't support video AirPlay, only audio, but if you get the LiveStation app, it supports video AirPlay, and you can watch AJE (among others) via it.

  • When you're outside with proper lighting, the video quality isn't too bad actually. Check out a comparison video I made between the iPad 2, my iPhone 3GS and a Flip Mino HD among my other videos.
