IMPORTANT..please read..
I have Aspergers, well thats not strictly true, the psychologist who assesed me said I had 'high functioning autism' then proceeded to explain the difference...I lapse into a state that could be seen as akin to a low functioning Autistic state, I lose the ability to control my body, I cannot express my desires, and I can't walk without falling...

  • I don't necessarily agree with "Asperger's Syndrome".

Asperger's Syndrome does not affect sufferer's periodically. It is an on going condition.

    You seem psychologically overwhelmed.

All people experience some instance of this.

I've seen in your previous videos that you have extremely sensitive 'input sensors'.

Being a condition that affects the central nervous system, it seems stress is also something your body is sensitive to, which would explain your semi-responsive state.

    it happens.

  • @JLXOutlaw Aspergers syndrome does not effect me periodically, its who I am at all times, what you see here is the effect of suppressed tics overwhelming me knocking out my abilities to walk around freely and communicate effectively. It doesn't do to over think this

  • @TheMainMeal

That's interesting, I can understand HIGH functioning then.

Poor collaboration of words on my part

    I was UNDER thinking! ;-)

Why are you affected so intensely and for such a long period of time?

You wouldn't say Asperger's is to take the majority of the blame would you? You seem to be in an autistic state, but that doesn't seem to be the antagonist.

Your suppression of ticks (over time?) triggered this specific episode, right?

    suppression>time>stress>cognitive functions?

  • @JLXOutlaw yes, my suppression of tics over a given time causes these episodes. However If i choose not to suppress tics over time, then episode is not so severe.

  • can you post a video of yourself on a good day so we can see the contrast?

  • @KSitz77 errm, what would you like to see, i was having a good day when I recorded the britney spears track 'hit me baby one more time' with Lloyd.

  • Linked to this vid via one of the many karaoke renditions available on YouTube & quite honestly i felt the need to say something, but find myself lost for words. Although you don't need it, or probably even want it, you & your good lady have my sincerest admiration for how you choose to tackle these conditions. I hope that doesn't come across sycophantic in any way, but watching this has genuinely left me somewhat dumbstruck..... & i mean that in a very positive way. Kudos to you, matey :)

  • @sauronwibble I do not remember how I feel when these episodes are going on, I can't access past emotional memories, I would imagine that if I could remember I would be very down about it, I do know from diary entries that I felt depressed at such and such a time related to a particularly bad tic day. It some ways the aspergers and living in the present moment saves me from potential pain I could feel

  • I've been going through your videos in the last two days and I just have to say that you are such an inspiration. I'm a teacher in Sweden and I work with kids in the AS spectrum (along with ADD/ADHD) and this gives me so much insight. I love your attitude about your own situation and it's so fantastic that you explain it so well and with so much insight. I hope you're having a good day :)

  • You look like the lead singer from Elbow.

  • @TheMainMeal Thank you for clearing that up.

I appreciate hearing it from you specifically, rather then some doctor reading over medical research. I really do mean that.

Love your videos, very entertaining.... excluding this one :P

    Keep rocking,

    Joe

  • Dear God...my brother is autistic, the parallels between this and how he often acts is disturbing.

  • @TheMainMeal Okay, this one actually got me. The rest of your videos have me rolling hysterically because I understand that you're putting them out for the world to see and embracing your affliction and making the best of it. But this video actually made me realize the struggles you go through. I still laughed at certain points, but to see the absolute frustration you're experiencing, and the look in your eyes while you're trying to communicate...that sucks. You kick ass Guy!

  • If by ANALogy you meen a fucking ASShole I agree.
