Elephants competing for food morsels in a tube

When alone, two elephants obtained bagel pieces from a tube by either sucking or blowing. But when placed side by side along the tube, they only sucked, thus maximizing their chance of getting the morsel. This could be interpreted as either showing that they grasp the basic setup, or that they performed a similar task in the past and learned through trial and error that sucking is the more rewarding strategy.
