I couldn't be there for the LCC ( http://lccnow.com ) 333 concert last week, but I was able to participate by video. Here's my contribution. This is an original song from the book of Amos.
@fchermom This song comes from Amos 5 & 6, especially 5:23. Amos is prophesying about God's disgust with Israel's hypocrisy and unfaithfulness. Amos 5:21 sets up this idea and is particularly convicting for us as Christians today: "I hate all your show and pretense - the hypocrisy of your religious festivals and solemn assemblies."
Music is good, but if our attitude is hypocritical, it is not pleasing to God.
I dont understand? Why does he not want us to make beautiful music for and about him?
