ADHD - my Journal - Part 4 - first day back on meds

My continuing journal about my ADHD and medications. Hopefully people will take from this some knowledge and maybe remove some of the stigma of ADHD and meds in general.

You dont need that dexedrine, it fucked me up back in grade 4, I started smoking weed all day everyday inplace of prescription medications and now I have friends, a sexy girlfriend, my sanity, money, its all good.

@Jordyjg - so let me get this straight - you want me to quit something legal that is tested and works for me? So I can use something that's been proven destructive to adults with ADHD? No thanks. You go to jail for your possession if you wish.

Pot just made me feel like an idiot that had a drill take my brain out. I gave that up when I grew up.

My meds work. Have for a decade.

modafinil works great for me. it may not be very healthy though. i'm really not sure. for me weed doesn't work at all. i become super creative on it but nothing gets done. weed has other good uses but not for adhd for sure ... atleast for me.

@allbabiesareatheists Look, the government is not exactly an unfailed decider of what is good or not. Marijuana has fewer harmfull side effects than dex. Dex seems to work for you, but for many people weed works. These are in fact two very different types of medicine, but just because your corrupt government doesnt like one doesnt make it bad. Im sorry to hear that pot made you feel bad. It truly is a great medicine. You could develop liver and kidney probs and neurological probs from dex.

You seem about the same, maybe a little more focussed (but not much), but I suspect that the relative lack of difference I see has something to do with the pain and/ or alcohol. I'm glad you're feeling good though.
