Michelle Nettle, a board certified music therapist , working with a client who has a diagnosis of high functioning autism. In this video Michelle is working on the music therapy goals of improving cognitive skills- specifically auditory processing ( ability to listen to and repeat back a rhythmic sequence ), motor skills(bilateral coordination to imitate "pat/clap" pattern, motor coordination and palmer grasp to hold a mallet to play the drums, and crossing midline to reach across to play drums on his left side)
