The Suburban has too long of a wheel base and I can't overcome very much, I need a lift kit and some rear lockers/spool

  • @RoundedLineGM "The rounded-line 1973-1991 Suburban’s ........"

    rounded-lines? really??

funny, i've never heard of them being refered to as that, it's always "square bodied" (in fact there are even a few social groups dedicated to "Dem Square Bodies")

  • @as072091 uhhh....dude.....just what do you drive?

the skinny pedal is always on the right-in ANY vehicle i've driven.

  • when in doubt step on the skinny pedal on the left and dont let up.

  • @redheadsoxfan5 I have an 89 Heavy Half with the 350 and 700r4 tranny with a stage two shift kit I get 8 mpg. FML. The 35" Nitto Mud grapplers probably don't help me any. But she's a purdy sum bitch.

  • dont look like they get in the woods that much[ morons]

  • The rounded-line 1973-1991 Suburban’s are great off road machines when paired with professional drivers. Ever heard of "Lucy Panzer", the 1983 GMC Suburban K-2500 that set the world record for the fastest off road expeditionary trip in the 1984 Africa-Arctic Challenge? "Lucy" traveled from the bottom of Africa to the top of Europe in 28 days, 13 hours, and 10 minutes.

Search for "Lucy Panzer the GMC Suburban" on Google, to see what Suburban’s are really capable of.

  • your truck should not have had a problem with that hill. trust the truck and make sure you know what it can do otherwise youll never get it to offroad like you want. even with the stock height it is fine with that hill you were on. trust me i have a 89 and it would have been fine and yours is a little taller because it is the bigger suburban. i have a 1500

  • Nice truck, lockers make a major difference, also a front push bar with winch. I have a gas burb, I need to armor plate mine.

  • Try 4-Lo.

  • The petal on the right is the gas, use it
