My Punta Cana beach walk week: --beach walking the world-class beaches was best kept to the south end of Bavaro Beach in the Dominican Republic.

6:30 AM View of dawn from my Punta Cana hotel window. 4 PM walk south in palm tree shadows begins.

4.30 PM rubber raft aeroplane.

4.45 Hiking Bavaro Beach, kissed by parrot -- security guard bars the gate, says Parc Natur beach is "dangerous" -- 8 Ukrainian tourists hire a boat for 25$ US to pass us over to the beach on the point.

Mr. Sas (blue hat) invites me along (lots of laughs about "danger"). Point is part of Nature Park, undeveloped because of rocky beach barrier.

There, another Punta Cana security guard tells us how a week earlier a female in a group of tourists was seriously injured for her camera by 2 thieves with machetes.

But, the boat picks us up and our Punta Cana Bavaro beach walk ends peacefully with a group shot.
