FFVII - LLNMIENA Challenge - Red Dragon

LL = Low Level
NM = No Materia
IE = Initial Equipment
NA = No Accessories

Nanaki and Aerith's levels are lower than they are supposed to be. Usually, you have to go to Wutai and fight nine groups of two Foulanders in order to obtain Lunar Curtains (casts MBarrier on the party), but doing that increases the levels so much that the battles in the temple become too easy. So, I decided to just get the two Light Curtains for Demon's Gate and then go fight the bosses. It turned out to be tougher than I thought.

Well, the battle isn't really too tough. The problem is that he must get poisoned in one attempt and that doesn't happen too often. And every time you fail, you have to go through three minutes of cutscenes before you can attempt him again. So goddamn annoying.

Your main objective here is just to stay alive, which can be a problem, since some of his attacks instantly kill the characters. Aerith is the only one who can survive everything, but even a high damage Red Dragon Breath can kill her. You don't want that to happen when the guys are dead.

For example: Is it allowed to lvl Aerith to lvl 99? Because she dies anyway... it is just a question and this is just an example. I don't try the LLNMIENA-Challenge yet but I want to.

In a low level challenge? No, the level limit is 28, so you cannot level her more than that. Not that you need to anyway. Even with all the battles you fight to get items, she only reaches level 23 after Demon's Gate.

i remember this was my favourite boss because i never died in here and for some reason i liked it when it was easy but after that came the demon gate and then it became really hard

And watching you do it with all these handicaps... I may never feel good again.

But the fights kick ass.

Couldn't you just fight random battles to make use of those extra levels she can have, even with fighting all the boss and item fights. Would make it slightly easier.

Poison might be not that useful in a normal game but it sure helps in a LLNMIENA Challenge.Great Garland!^-^
