This is the new Bachmann Turntable in action. I just set it up quickly to test it and film it. It is a little loud and funky but it works well and I picked it up for only $85. I installed a DCC decoder in it and it works well. I'll set it in the sound board and weather it and should be good to go. Make sure you use the #4 track (the one with wires on the bottom) to connect to your main line and DCC power.

  • Hi, I'm from Czech Rep., Europe. Do you know whether this turntable is competible with European track systems such as PIKO, PECO, Fleischmann, Tillig, etc.?

What is the working voltage and current? Thanks, Jiri

  • Jiri, the turntable is designed for Bachmann E-Z Track but I am not using that.

The turntable is about 1/2" high. I'm just cutting a hole in some soundboard and fitting it in and then using flextrack to it. Bachmann has adaptor track to go from their track to flex track.

  • For whatever reason, Bachmann has track power to the turntable on the #4 track (look underneath for the wires). When the main line track is connected to #4, it powers the turntable. They do not explain this very well in the directions.

  • Sorry it took me so long to reply. Yes, you can use it in DC. Bachmann includes instructions and parts for both. They are a little vague and it does not come with a controller but I would think you could use most any power supply. I have the instructions as a PDF but I'm not sure how to post them here. Let me know if you would like them.

  • Looks a lot like a re-gauged Hornby OO scale turntable!

  • Please explain the need for using the #4 track.

  • Can be used in DC?
